An artist with an important professional career, Donatella Alamprese is an eclectic singer who went on from her initial classical training to subsequently develop and refine many musical genres. From Opera to Jazz, from Pop to Experimental Composition, after an appearance on RAI 2 in their program series “DOC e Indietro Tutta”, she turned mainly to research and chose to work with music of quality.
She made her Theatre Debut in 2004 in “Canciòn Desesperada” dedicated to Alda Merini and to the Tango Repertoire. True to her paternal Argentine roots, she went on to specialize in that genre. Her technique and phrasing combined with the depth and extraordinary vocal range has made her one of the most important interpreters on the Tango stage. Her Tango Vocal Repertoire recitals dance gracefully between the classic Tango and the more modern compositions of Astor Piazzolla. Gifted with a riveting stage presence, she sings in any of eight different languages with ease. Often recorded, she has participated at many important festivals and events in Italy and abroad, mostly performing in important theatres.

In 2008 she was chosen as the official Representative of the Fiat 500 in the Asian market and did her first successful tour in Japan, where she went back in 2009 including a second successful appearance at the Cultural Institute of Tokyo. In 2012 she toured Argentina and Chile warmly welcomed by the audience of Buenos Aires and Santiago . In March2015 she did another successful tour in Argentina also representing Italy at the most famous tango event in the world : the Cumbre Mundial in Zarate, Buenos Aires . In August and September 2015 she toured again Japan with concerts in Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo. Her most recent recordings are a Live CD entirely dedicated to Piazzolla, recorded with Le Carrozze Records and the new album “Tango sin carmin” in duo with the guitarist Marco Giacomini.

Artista lucana con all'attivo un percorso professionale di tutto rilievo, Donatella Alamprese è una cantante eclettica di formazione classica ma con esperienze in vari ambiti musicali, dalla lirica al jazz,al pop,alla sperimentazione. Lanciata su RAI2 dai programmi DOC e Indietro Tutta, si è poi dedicata prevalentemente alla ricerca e alla musica di qualità.Esordisce in teatro nel 2004 con lo spettacolo " Canciòn desesperada" dedicato ad Alda Merini e al Tango Canciòn; da allora, fedele alle sue origini argentine da parte paterna, si è specializzata nel genere facendo propri la tecnica e il fraseggio che, uniti alla profondità e straordinaria estensione vocale, ne fanno una delle più significative interpreti nel panorama internazionale. Dotata di grande presenza scenica, canta in otto lingue proponendo un repertorio intensamente emotivo ed avvolgente,colto e raffinato.Nel 2008 è stata testimonial del lancio della 500 sul mercato asiatico ottenendo grande successo con due tourneè in Giappone ed esibendosi per due volte presso l'Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Tokyo. Di recente pubblicazione il cd live dedicato ad Astor Piazzolla per l'etichetta Le Carrozze Records.Nel 2012 è invitata insieme al chitarrista Marco Giacomini a tenere una serie di concerti a Buenos Aires, con debutto alla prestigiosa Accademia Portena del Lunfardo dove riceve nel ciclo di Claudio Duran il titolo di Perla del Tango.Si esibisce con grande successo di pubblico anche , fra gli altri, all 'Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Buenos Aires e Santiago del Cile e nel Teatro Verdi. Nel marzo 2015 è invitata a rappresentare l'Italia ,unica cantante europea invitata, alla X Cumbre Mundial del Tango a Zarate, Buenos Aires dove si esibisce insieme al Maestro Marco Giacomini al Teatro Coliseo e in altri luoghi emblematici della cultura del Tango ( Clasìca y Moderna, Bien Bohemio, Centro Eladìa Blazquez).Nel settembre 2015 effettua la terza tourneè in Giappone, esibendosi in teatri a Kyoto, Osaka e Tokyo e negli Istituti Italiani di Cultura.Di recente pubblicazione il cd "Tango sin Carmìn" dedicato al tango contemporaneo con il chitarrista Marco Giacomini.
